Novák, Matěj ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Impact of foot and lower limb massage postural stability Objectives: Find out what impact does sport massage of foot and lower limb has on postural stability. Methods: The research was realized in the form of a Crossover design experiment and involved 8 subjects. It was a one-group experiment where all participants were part of both the experimental and control groups. The measurement results were based on comparing the input and outcome measurements, with foot and calf massage being performed on the experimental group of subjects, while the control group was passively resting by lying on their backs. A pressure plate called Footscan was used to obtain the results in the Laboratory of Sports Motorics at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University. Results: In the overall comparison of the results of all measured stances it is possible to see that in the first four stances, without the foam pad, experimental group achieved positive results even by ten percent. Only the results of narrow standing with eyes open (USOO) were negative. There was a deterioration of 21% in delta X and 15% in delta Y. However, these results cannot be considered positive since the control group achieved similar results with the same positive or negative tendencies in almost all evaluated...

Stibor, Adam ; Křivánková, Markéta (advisor) ; Prokešová, Eva (referee)
Title: Comparison of selected regenerative techniques affecting hip joint range of motion in ice hockey players. Objectives: The aim of this study is to identify the most effective regenerative technique among those preselected for range of motion in the hip joint. At the same time, to compare each regeneration technique with each other and to determine the quality of regeneration in selected ice hockey players. Methods: In our work we used the method of analysis and comparison. The method of analysis is used to clarify statistically significant measurement data and the method of comparison is used to compare the individual regeneration techniques. In our work we used sports massage, rolling and massage gun. The Sit and Reach Test (SRT), Passive Straight Leg Raise (PSLR), Maximal Hip Flexion Active Knee Extension (MHFAKE) and Passive Knee Extension Test (PKET) were used to measure range of motion. Additional information on the quality of regeneration of the probands playing ice hockey is provided by a non-standardized questionnaire that concludes this research. Results: We found a significant increase in hip range of motion with the massage gun (p=0.004982). This increased range of motion persisted for three days. Range of motion also increased after application of the foam roller, but the results...

Name of thesis: Use of sports massages in the sports clubs in the region of Mladá Boleslav. Author: Kristýna Sobotková Tutor: PaedDr. Ladislav Pokorný Department: Department of physical education Aims of the thesis: The main aim of the thesis is to map and compare the usage of regenerative procedures. with a main focus on sports massages in sport teams in different kind of sports which are taking part in the highest level of competitions in the region of Mladá Boleslav. Methodology: Methods used in the thesis are analysis and comparison. The results of the thesis: The result is a detail exploration of professional sports clubs in Mladá Boleslav with an emphasis on regeneration and usage of sports massages. Among these sports clubs the football players and the hockey players have the widest possibilities for regeneration. These two clubs have similar facilities for regeneration. They can choose from a vast variety of regeneration's techniques and the masseurs are there every day for them. The floorball players have their own masseur, but they don't have sufficient facilities. They have an improvised massage room in a fitness and a vat with icy water in a changing room. They also receive benefits for attending public wellness in Mladá Boleslav. The minimal opportunity for regeneration have the girls...

Title: Impact on extra league floorball players of selected regeneration methods after training in summer preparation. Objective: The goal of the bachelor thesis is to study and compare the regeneration methods of floorball players. To study the effect of sports massage, cold water regeneration and passive regeneration (relaxatin) on the lower back limb muscular pain (DOMS), the subjective perception of method and influence on muscle contraction. Methods: A quantitative research in the form of quasi-experiment was followed by the effect of different regeneration methods on a set of 15 extralig floorball players. As a method of data collection, I used a questionnaire based on subjective assessment, as a visual analogue scale. He was dealt with proband before the very beginning of the test. I was also using the sit and reach test, which assessed shortening or extensions of the lower limb muscles. For my research, I chose the target group of 15 extra league players of the Ivanti Tigers floorball team aged 18-30. Results: From the values I obtained from the questionnaire, it is cleaar that 67% of the respondents are the most pleasant sport massage. Fourteen proband, that it, 93,3% of them said that after 48 hours, the pain ranged between 0 and 1, which shows a high rate of pain relief. The result of...
Impact of nape massage on postural stability
Novák, Matěj ; Nováková, Pavlína (advisor) ; Hošková, Blanka (referee)
Title: Impact of nape massage on postural stability Objectives: The aim of this work is to find out if sport nape massage has an effect on postural stability. Methods: The research was realized in form of quaziexperiment which was attended by 5 probands. Result of the measurement is consist of comparing the difference of postural stability before and after the nape massage. The results were obtained by Footscan pressure platform in Laboratory of sports motor skills at UK FTVS. At first we measured proband's weight and height, after that we measured postural stability. Then we performed nape massage on proband. And after the massage we measured again the postural stability. Results: In the overall summary of the results of all measured stands, there was an improvement after massage in the parameter TTW (total travelled way) by 6,12 %. This value indicates a slight improvement, but statistically nothing significant happened. The results of lower limbs load ratio were also positive, when after applying nape massage there was improvement by 35,5 %. This means that in our research with five probands, nape massage had a positive effect on level of static postural stability. Keywords: balance, footscan, sport massage, nape area
Sports massage as one of the posssible therapy methods used in the various sports sectors
Stránská, Veronika ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Pádivý, Martin (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with using of sports massage as part of regeneration after, before and during sports workout. The sports massage is divided generally into a pre - sports workout, (for the reason of a group's muscles warming up used specifically for the special sports sector (injury prevention), immediately after sports load ( due to an accumulated lactic acid and other waste chemicals wash out) and within 24 - hours duration in the frame of body regeneration. The aim of the thesis is to compare and map the usage of sports massage in various sports sectors. The icey hockey, football, handball, cheerleading, athletics and floorball are determined as sports sectors for regeneration sports club level comparison. The research is based by an author on 5 - predefined hypothesis, which, used by the methods of questionnare research (data are processed by members of icey hockey, football, handball, cheerleading, athletics and floorball clubs) and via testing on the determined and comparable sample in the frame of sport gymnastics, the author verifies in the wrapping up. The research methods used are comparisons and data analysis based on a questionnaire and interview survey. The author was motivated by the need to analyze the real level of regenerative background of top sports in selected sports...

This thesis deals with sporting massage and its effects to the human body. There are used some of diagnostic methods verifies the effects of sporting back massage on a muscular function, a skin appearance, physiological functions of the organism and a subjective feeling of a relaxation. For example, there are methods such as a static and a dynamic examination of a spine or an oximeter and a caliper measurements compared to subjective feelings of relaxation in the back area. The methods were applied before and after the experiment, which was based on the series of sporting back massages. The results of the research are compared with other studies and speak in favor for the sporting massage as an effective means of regenerating for the human body as expected on the beginning of the research. The thesis can be used as an available information source for students of sports disciplines and the physically active public, and it can motivate them to include sporting massage into an everyday regeneration processes.
